Datamethod was founded on April 1, 1999. For the first five years the company focused on claim reporting and operational management tools – the principle of which was called Decision Desktop. Decision Desktop supported national payers with a portal that enabled claims operational performance management (turnaround time, denials, adjustments, provider scorecards, employer scorecards) and allowed them to achieve operations savings (auto adjudication increase) and service improvement (turnaround time reduction). National and regional payer clients licensed Decision Desktop.
Because the underlying architecture of the application included loading the entire claim population, Datamethod clients began requesting claim audit samples. This ultimately served as the genesis for ClaimAuditor, now called AuditWell, which was first released in 2005 and we’re now on the fifth version of the software.
During the sixteen years since, the product has become a sampling, workflow, and results reporting platform to support more than healthcare claim audits but also other transactions including; enrollment, inquiries, customer service calls, etc.
Today, Datamethod counts among its customers some of the largest payers in the United States.
